New England Organization for Human Services
2012 Annual Conference
Call for Papers
Theme:
Poverty: It’s Not Just for the Poor Anymore
March 30, 2012
Springfield College, Brennan Conference Center
45 Island Pond Road, Springfield, MA 01109
The length and severity of the current economic realities are affecting all classes and all communities throughout New England, across the country, and around the world. What are we doing/should be doing in both practice (practitioners) and preparation (educators/students) to address this challenge? We welcome proposals for papers that address all aspects of this challenge as it affects educators, students, practitioners, and citizens.
Sessions last 60 minutes and the format of the workshops is flexible. Poster presentations (visual representations of research, teaching approaches, practice strategies, or reports on programs and projects in the profession of human services) are also welcome.
Proposals should be submitted electronically by February 29, 2012, to Dr. Jackie Griswold, Department Chair for Human Services, Holyoke Community College
